Interview with Zoé Till: Unveiling the Dynamic Engineer at Magnoric

 Who are you, Zoé Till?

I am Zoé Till, a mechanical engineer specializing in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) at Magnoric since September 2020. My academic journey is marked by excellence, having pursued mechanical engineering studies at INSA Lyon in France. My education took a unique turn when I joined the European international program, exposing me to diverse perspectives and an additional foreign language. I further honed my skills through a double degree program at Trinity College Dublin, culminating in a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

While at a Dublin pub, Zoé was once asked about her profession. Upon responding, "I'm a mechanical engineer," the reaction she received was a hearty laugh followed by, "Seriously, what's your real job?"

How old are you?

I’m 26 years old.

How long have you been working for Magnoric?

I started my journey at Magnoric in September 2020.

What do you love about your job?

.I cherish the versatility of my role, relishing the opportunity to immerse myself in every aspect of a project, from its inception to completion. I find fulfillment in the diversity of tasks, from conducting initial simulations to conducting final testing. Continuous learning is at the core of my passion, as I embrace each day as an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills.

What would you say to young people aspiring to pursue your career?

I encourage aspiring engineers not to be disheartened by setbacks or uncertainties. There are numerous pathways to success in engineering, and even engineers with diverse backgrounds may find themselves in fulfilling careers. Persistence and determination are key to navigating the complexities of the field.

Is it challenging for women to establish themselves in this male-dominated sector?

I have seamlessly integrated into my profession, drawing strength from my experiences in supportive environments. While occasional surprise reactions remind me of prevailing stereotypes, I remain resilient and assertive in my pursuits.

Can you tell us about an ecological commitment you are making to improve the future?

I am committed to reducing my carbon footprint by making mindful choices in my daily life. This includes reducing meat consumption and paying attention to the composition of the food and products I purchase, such as clothing.

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Dynamic, curious, optimistic

Do you have a favorite book/artist/song to share with us?

My favorite song of the moment is “Imagine Dragon: 30 Lives.” I enjoy listening to Voyou, MPL, and AJR, and I volunteer at festivals to immerse myself in the vibrant atmosphere of live music. One of my most unforgettable concert experiences was at Le Château de Chambord, where Imagine Dragons performed, leaving a lasting impression on me.
